CZARNOBYL: Stencil Art

Born 1974 in Poland, he lives and works in Berlin since 1993.
Already in 1990 he began to take an interest in to cutting stencils to express his feelings and ideas. It seems like Czarnobyl’s works want to remind us of the technological progress and its’ unfulfilled promise of a better future. His creatures are completely torn, lonesome but oppressive as well as nostalgic and not yet in a common sense beautiful.
Czarnobyl’s protagonists appear much more as mutated outsiders of an evil and unequal game like the mutants of the Megapolis.
